Necro Minion Question(s)
I have afew Questions about Necromancer Minions, (flesh golem, bone fiends ect)
First of all, what are they classed as? Allys? Creatures? Animals? Undead? If so, what spells are they effected by? Shouts, Chants, Spirits ect? Many thanks for your help. |

They are somewhere between creature and ally. The only things that effect them are spells that directly target them. ex. Blood of the Master, Death Nova, Heal area, etc..

I class them as minions. They are affected by everything but are especially susceptible to holy damage. The big difference is that with the exception of the flesh golem they leave no exploitable corpse. I have been told that they do not like monk heals and although the spells heal them, it accelerates their rate of degeneration. I have not confirmed this, but will not use Heal Area on them, better to use necro minion heals on them, like Blood of the Master.

So does this mean they would be effected by Paragon Shouts/Chants?

I think minions still count as allies--that's why paragon shouts used to apply to them, because they used to target all allies. Then not long ago they changed it so all paragon shouts only affect party members, thus they no longer affect minions.

Charge does affect minions. I just tested it to confirm.
Minions will often take a second to get moving. And if they take too long they may be out of the range of a shout. That might be why yours are falling behind. |
